Tyranny!

Heroes In The House is a show that celebrates the dedication of firefighters to their community and of the brotherhood we share regardless of rank. In the spirit of safety, accomplishment and teamwork, we gel as a family. Like most families, mealtime is a time to reconnect. That is what Heroes In The House is about.

The top dog, the quarterback, is a position we refer to as "Fire Chief". He or She is a department head, an administrator, but most of all, a firefighter. Head of the family.

Now and then a tyrant is promoted to, or appointed Fire Chief.

This is such a negative reflection on the city which appointed this tyrant and on the Fire Service all together. There are power hungry idiots in every city. Lets just keep them out of the Chief's office. Pete and I want to visit every city. We don't want to exclude any of our brothers & sisters because their boss won't cooperate. If you are on the job, hope your chief is cool. If not, pay attention to who is in charge at your Fire Department . . . not just so Heroes In The House can feature your community, though that's a fine reason, but because the job he or she directs is too important to be ambushed by ego!
