The smokin' hot crime scene investigators in Miami have perfect cloths, perfect hair, perfect everything all through their work day. Amazing. I can't get from my kitchen to the car without staining my shirt. I'm not smokin' hot either. I don't know . . . maybe Pete is, you be the judge.
Anyway, we're making every effort to make Heroes In The House as real as possible. So if you ever see an episode without fresh coffee ALWAYS ready, you'll know we lost the battle to the producers.
Coffee at the Firehouse is like snow on a mountain top. It belongs there. Ask me why and I'll give you the answer. Ask 100 other career guys and you'll get 100 more, all different answers. But everyone will eventually agree, it's probably just tradition. Tradition is a powerful force in the Fire Service. Some serious, some fun. But our coffee? Well, it stands alone.
There are plenty of firefighters who substitute Red Bull or Gatorade, but like the food, it's not the drink, but the camaraderie. And yea, like the food, it better be good. Not just for our crews, either. Lots of visitors come and go . . . Instructors from all States to train, Arson investigators to probe, sales reps for equipment, Cops for the free coffee . . . but one thing is consistent, they know the jo will be fresh and abundant.
Soon our web site will be up, and when the show airs, your interaction will be welcome. So watch for the coffee pot brewing.
Steve.
