Steve: Base hit
Pete: Swing for the fences
Steve: 4 yards, 3 yards, 3 yards
Pete: Throw the Hail Mary into the end zone
Steve: Practice the dish 7 or 8 times before the cook-off
Pete: Just go there and whip it up. We'll crush 'em
Steve: An integrated, concise Business plan with projections and a Mission Statement
Pete: Give me the check book
Steve: "Heroes In The House" is going to hit Firehouses in every Nation on the globe
Pete: We're staying right here!
Hold It! What?
Mr. "uptight" has a wild side? Mr. "live-on-the-edge" has anxieties?
That's what is making this show cool. Two friends, unpredictably opposite.
So I (Steve) am willing to go to Miami and just "shoot from the hip" and try and beat them at their own game . . . and as you know, in Miami Fire Department it was "OX TAIL", a food we never knew existed . . . but Pete, we ARE going International.
*Russia, absolutely during the Winter Olympics in Sochi, and everywhere else we are invited
*Italy and Ireland, if we are invited?!
*We have to visit our Military Heroes!
Here in the USA, friends, we have a custom; Firefighters and Police Officers have a relationship. We work together and we watch out for each other. Sort of a bond.
Is it the same everywhere? Because I just read "The Monster Of Florence" by Douglas Preston and Mario Spezi (an awesome read, btw. Chilling, but paints a beautiful picture of Italy). Help me out my Italian cohorts. Do your Police and Firefighters look out for each other too? Otherwise I'll never persuade Pete to make orecchiette in Puglia. We might be able to learn something from the Firehouse "Cesarine" there.
Here's a cool site on Italian Home Cooking
Italy and Russia, Welcome to Heroes In The House
