A Peek Inside

I think the coolest aspect of Heroes In The House is the opportunity for you, our audience, to get a glimpse inside the fire service from a perspective only career firefighters can identify and attempt to translate.

Of course you will see lots of "Rigs", and we will be surrounded by tools of the trade and lingo of the profession, but our goal is to delve a bit deeper. Not so much to show you what we do for a living or how we eat. Mealtime is a catalyst that provides moments among us. It sounds corny, but these "Moments", sometimes subtle and sometimes bold, are like trace evidence that, when enough is complied, will help define the inner culture in which we live and work with our Brothers and Sisters.

In this photo I am trying to define to our audience the three aspects of the show: 1. Cooking 2. Humor and 3. This peek inside. The cooking will be fun and informative. The humor, entertaining. But #3 will be deep, and the part of Heroes In The House most intriguing of all.
