Heroes In The . . . Haiti

This is what we mean when we say "Much more than a cooking show". In fact, we're not sure what genre to place it in because the people we work with are so awesome. Yea, we cook. But we drop the spoons and kill the grill when the bells hit. The Bells hit for Haiti.

Captain Rick and crew, our challengers from Miami Fire Department(who blew our doors in at cooking Ox Tail) just returned from Haiti having rescued 7 souls. Captain Rick, photo #1, was team leader of Bravo team.

Our brothers from all over the US, mainly the larger metro areas, as they have the USAR (Urban Search And Rescue) teams were deployed. How can you not erupt with pride for our Country and our Fire Service?

No cushie kitchens there. Fresh water? Eating MRE's (military, meals ready to eat)if they are lucky.

So when we can cook, we do because when we can't . . .
