Firefighting 101

Steve and I would like to wish everyone a happy holiday season. Family and friends, food and drink, and the festive holiday spirit, make for a wonderful time of the year. Enjoy your good fortune of health and happiness with your loved ones. What is more special than seeing the joy in a child's face during Christmas time? It's truly a special time of year and we want you to be safe.

Steve and I have seen our share of Christmas disasters. Trees catching fire, candles tipped over, fire place issues, etc... You get the picture. Please be careful and use caution when you are decorating with lights and candles. Anything that generates heat can cause a fire.

As you have previously read, we were defeated by Miami's bravest and their oxtail dish. Let me first congratulate them, but more importantly thank them for their hospitality. Firefighters are a special breed and Steve and I look forward to sharing insight and introducing some of the nations bravest men and women. You will not only see them at their finest moments, but also when tragedy has crushed their spirit. You will not only see them working together as a finely tuned machine, but playing practical jokes on each other. You will gain a perspective of firefighters and firefighting that has never been shown prior to "Heroes in the House."

Have a happy and safe holiday seaon.

Sincerely
Pete and Steve
