From the surface, Heroes In the House appears to be but another cooking show based in competition.
Within the walls of a firehouse is a sovereign alliance of blue-collar cowboys ready to leap, at the sound of the bells, into any situation for the protection of their neighbor; so willing because of the unspoken allegiance to each other as a team.
What ever it is that occurs when Fire Fighters break bread, this is the moment in which the complexity of their inner sanctum bubbles to the top and becomes vaguely visible to outsiders.
And guess what. If the meal sucks, it never happens. Yea, there’s a lot riding on the shoulders of the firehouse cook. And we cherish the load we carry.
